"Àlùjonjonkíjon" is a captivating solo piano work inspired by a Yorùbá folk tale about Ìjàpá, the Tortoise, and his cunning adventures. The piece vividly portrays elements of the story, including rope movements and encounters with food, through expressive use of scales, chords, and musical sequences. It is structured in an ABA form, beginning with the main theme, evolving through a development section that represents various narrative elements, and returning to the original theme. The composition features minimal call and response and incorporates elements of speech surrogacy, with the central motif, "Ìyá, Ìyá, tà’kùn wá’lè – Àlùjonjonkíjon," serving as the foundation for its thematic exploration.
