Blessing Dorcas Adeleke is a multifaceted music professional with a passion for exploring the dynamic intersection of music, culture, and identity. As a music educator, ethnographer, and writer, she brings a unique perspective to the role of music in shaping cultural narratives and promoting social change. With a strong academic foundation, including a certificate in Jazz music from Peter Kings College of Music in Lagos, Nigeria, a Diploma in Music Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Blessing possesses a unique blend of expertise and skills that facilitate knowledge sharing and foster cross-cultural understanding. Her research focuses on preserving and promoting Nigeria's rich cultural music heritage, with notable studies on preserving the music of Osun, a revered Yoruba goddess. Blessing has also presented her work at prestigious music conferences, including NACOMPA, where she discussed preserving Nigerian music heritage. Through her work, Blessing continues to inspire and educate others about the power of music in shaping cultural identity and promoting social cohesion. Her dedication to music education, cultural research, and writing makes her a valuable asset in her field. Blessing is currently undertaking a remote National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) internship at Àkójọpọ̀ Music Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting Pan-African art music worldwide.
