Kevin Moore

Kevin Moore Jr (He/Him) is a Graphic Artist for the Àkójọpọ̀ Music Foundation and a Freelance Artist from Chicago, IL. He has contributed work to local Chicago companies such as South Side Weekly and many promotional posters here in Akojopo. Kevin aims to contribute his work to social justice and highlighting pro- black subjects among other personal projects; he currently works as a caricature artist in places such as the Navy Pier.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Kevin started pursuing visual art at age 7 being self-taught until receiving the Jean Fairfax Scholarship to attend the University of Michigan at age 18. He spent time contributing to school events including a getting the position of Cartoonist for Michigan Opinion, a University newspaper that highlights political issues and fully represent the opinions of students. He received his BFA in 2020 and is looking to lend his skills to businesses that aim to illuminate marginalized communities.
